Daves flying!!

After all the waiting that David's been doing he's finally flying! He's already had his first two flights now and he's still getting used to the air sickness but he loves it. The next few months will be busy busy for him. He's actually off studying right now. Of course I'm taking care of him by making breakfast (even at six in the morning) and giving back rubs to help him relax. Also I try to always have a hot dinner ready for him to come home to. I think I'm kinda getting used to this wife thing. ;)
He's just started into what they call the "15 days of hell." David will be doing about 12 hour days every day plus studying on top of that for the next few months. Hopefully I'll still have a sane husband after this is over ;) really this is going to be a rough few months and we can use all the prayers we can get. On a side note David would like to apologize ahead of time if he starts rambling off random flight info while in a conversation with you... :)

Picture time!

Going for round two of flying! :)

Riding out to his plane

Dave in his "G Suit"

Going through things with his IP (his instructor pilot)

David and his IP preflighting the aircraft (with the walk around guy.)

Doing his interior inspection

This is the plane he'll be training on (T6)

Look at how happy he looks :)

Hope you enjoyed. Love you all,
Dave and Linds

P.S. Pics and videos of the house will be coming soon, once I have it spotless. ;)

Hi Lindsey! Thanks so much for blogging. I enjoyed reading all about David's flight adventures and looking at all the pictures! You are an understanding Navy wife and taking good care of David! I feel so blessed that he has you as his wife! :) Can I share a link to this blog entry with pix on my facebook page? Love you guys! Can't wait for pictures of your place. :) (And it doesn't have to be spotless, you will make the rest of us with messy houses feel bad.) ;)

Go David, way to take to the skies. So is that 12 hours in the air a day? You are going to be so dehydrated! Post more flight pictures please. Then I can live through David. I have not taken up a bird in 4 years!

No its not twelve hours in the air. Each flight is about 1.3 hours. I can fly as many as three times in a day though. I am just on base for 12 hours either studying or preparing for my next flight.

I was thinking of you today, Linds. I made some chocolate cheesecake brownies to take to your parents' house, and was a little worried whether people would like it or not. Then I thought, 'I wish Lindsey were here, I bet she would like them'. I miss cooking for you, you always liked the stuff I made... :)
We miss you guys!
